Alex Weighs in on the Brexit With The Sur In English
As voting day for the British referendum approaches, it is important for the public to stay informed about both sides of the issue. Our very own Alex Radford gave his professional opinion to The Sur in English, providing some insight into the risks of leaving the EU.
Alex noted that there is a great deal of uncertainty regarding the future of expats in Spain if England leaves the EU. In general, the Brexit could lead to financial turmoil, as the pound’s value is likely to decrease and the country could enter another recession. In fact, British investments are already on the decline as people are putting off investment decisions until the 23rd.
Alex wants to wants to see more debates on the topic so that voters can be better informed about the risks of leaving the EU. While many academics and business leaders are weighing in, he encourages more discussion on the issues that will effect British expats.
When asked what message he would like to get across the voters, Alex kept it short and simple:
“We are safer and healthier in the EU”.
