MLS Takes Part in Brexit Discussion on ITV

26 May 2016 | Tags:

Today, our very own Spanish Abogado Isabel Perez-Blanco was part of a group discussion on the EU Referendum on whether Britain should remain as part of the European Union. The forum aired on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, as 20 Spanish nationals and British expats voiced their opinions on the ‘Brexit’.

As a Spanish business with many of our clients based in the UK, we embrace many of the values of the EU and the free trade element, in particular the freedom of movement and purchase of property. As such, we would prefer that the UK remains a member of the European Union. However, if the people of Britain vote to leave, then we will work with our clients to help them look after their assets in Spain and ensure they meet whatever compliance issues come about as a result.

Many people have owned property in Spain, long before the EU was established and I am certain Spain would continue to embrace British people both as tourists and home owners in the future regardless of whether they are in the EU or not. We will be here before and after the vote to act in the best interests of our clients.

To watch the discussion, you can view today’s Good Morning Britain episode on the ITV Hub.
